@Ron2025, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you're having trouble reconnecting your HP ENVY 7640 printer to Wi-Fi after installing a new network. Let's walk through the steps to get your printer back online.

Option 1: Use the Printer’s Control Panel

  1. On the printer’s touchscreen, tap the Wi-Fi icon or go to Settings > Wireless Settings.
  2. Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
  3. The printer will search for available networks. Select your new Wi-Fi network from the list.
  4. Enter your Wi-Fi password using the on-screen keyboard.
  5. Once connected, the wireless light should turn solid blue.

Option 2: Use HP Smart App (Recommended)

  1. Download or open the HP Smart app on your Mac: HP Smart
  2. Open the app and click Set Up a New Printer.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to the new Wi-Fi network.
  4. If prompted, temporarily connect your Mac to the printer via USB to complete setup.

Option 3: Reset Network Settings (if needed)

If the printer doesn’t detect the new network:

  1. On the printer, go to Settings > Restore Network Settings.
  2. After reset, repeat the Wireless Setup Wizard steps above.

Additional Tips

  • Ensure your Mac and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Restart your router, printer, and Mac if the issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
