HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer

HP ENVY 7900 printer disconnected from Wi-Fi despite all other devices being connected.  How do I reconnect the printer?

I suspect is getting a different IP address when it wakes up from sleep. Either change its sleep settings so it doesn't sleep, or log into the router and assign a different SSID (name)  the 5ghz band.  Program the printer to connect to the 2.4..  Your modem probably has the same SSID for both bands and the printer gets a different band than it had the last time.

Click here for network setup using HP Smart but in a different language

You may need to reset the printer: instructions here

WiFi setup to router: video here

For WiFi direct setup click here.
This is useful if there is no modem or you do not want to give someone access to your modem but you want to let them print something.

The 7955e can operate in either the 2.4 or 5ghz. If went to sleep in the 2.4ghz band and woke up and was assigned the 5ghz band then it got a different IP address and your PCs need to search for it to find it. If this is the problem then you need to assign a different name to the 2.4ghz band so the printer only uses that band after a power loss or after waking up.

Simple push button or WPS setup is an option in the router setup wizard

Let me know if you have a flex system (WiFi boosters or repeaters) as the setup is more complicated.
