Just upgraded the T-Mobile Gateway, and now the printer will not connect to the new WiFi network. Other devices connect to the network with the new Gateway, with its new PW...but not the printer. Have rebooted several times, still will not connect.

Hi @Stuce,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP Envy 4500 printer is not connecting to your new T-Mobile Gateway's WiFi network, despite other devices connecting successfully, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Restart Devices
Restart Printer:
- Turn off the HP Envy 4500 printer by pressing the power button.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and wait for about 1 minute.
- Plug the power cord back into the printer and turn it on.
Restart T-Mobile Gateway:
- Unplug the power cord from the T-Mobile Gateway.
- Wait for about 1 minute.
- Plug the power cord back into the Gateway and allow it to fully restart.
2. Ensure Printer and Gateway Compatibility
- Wi-Fi Band Compatibility:
- Ensure that your T-Mobile Gateway is broadcasting a Wi-Fi signal compatible with the HP Envy 4500 printer. The Envy 4500 supports 2.4GHz networks, so ensure your new Gateway is not solely broadcasting on a 5GHz band.
3. Check Wi-Fi Settings on Printer
Printer Wi-Fi Setup:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless or network settings.
- Choose the option to reconnect or set up a new wireless connection.
- Select your new T-Mobile Gateway's Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the new password (PW) correctly.
SSID Visibility:
- Ensure that the T-Mobile Gateway's SSID (network name) is visible to the printer. Sometimes, networks are set to be hidden, which can prevent devices from connecting.
4. Reconfigure Printer's Wireless Settings
- Reset Wireless Settings:
- If the printer continues to have trouble connecting, reset the wireless settings to default and set up the connection again.
- Refer to the printer's manual for instructions on how to reset wireless settings.
5. Update Printer Firmware
- Firmware Update:
- Check for any firmware updates for your HP Envy 4500 printer.
- Updates can sometimes resolve connectivity issues by improving compatibility with newer routers or fixing bugs.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

This was the problem, the HP Envy 4500 could not connect to the new 5Ghz Gateway from T-Mobile. Needed TM to help create a different (additional) network with 2.4Ghz option. Took some time to figure how to do this, but then it did work for a moment....printer would print a half page, then lock up with a Error Code EXB3800004. Restarted, unplugged and plugged in again and again...nothing would fix it. Restored defaults, entered in pw numerous times, all the same result.....until, I moved the wireless printer across the room, rather than being with inches of the Gateway...strange. So, it's working now.
