Hi @Mary-2_3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 4500 printer keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is working properly and that other devices can connect to it without any issues.
  • Make sure the printer is within the range of the Wi-Fi router.

Restart Your Devices:

  • Turn off both your printer and the Wi-Fi router.
  • Wait for a few minutes, then turn them back on.
  • Allow the devices to restart and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP Envy 4500 printer. You can usually find firmware updates on the HP support website.
  • Follow the instructions provided by HP to update the firmware.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless or network settings.
  • Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the correct password.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi network.

Forget and Reconnect Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings.
  • Forget the current Wi-Fi network.
  • Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network by entering the correct credentials.

Check for Interference:

  • Make sure there are no electronic devices or appliances causing interference with the Wi-Fi signal.
  • Avoid placing the printer near other electronic devices or walls that could block the Wi-Fi signal.

Reset Network Settings:

  • On the printer, find the option to reset network settings.
  • Perform a network reset and then attempt to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
