I have limited IT knowledge, but have spent many hours attempting to resolve this problem. I have not had the need to use my printer for some time, however it does operate, in that it prints test reports, but will not print emails, Word documents etc. My service engineer confirms that the the service is operating correctly, the printer is connected to the Network and web and went on to spend considerable time attempting to identify a fault. It was his opinion that the fault was related to HP. I am confident that all obvious routes to resolve the problem have been considered.
As mentioned, I have limited IT related knowledge and would be grateful for guidance.
Regards

Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.
Is it a private (Home network) or a public Wi-Fi connection? Wi-Fi direct? Or Hotspot?
What device are you using the printer with a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or iPhone?
How is the printer connected USB or Wireless?
What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
Have you done any changes to your router network or software?
