Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

HP Envy 5660
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had this issue, off and on, since I have had the printer. The printer is set up though the setup wizard, and installed in Windows. All drivers for the printer and router are up to date. After an indeterminate period of time, the printer will randomly disconnect from the wifi (small blue light will flash). After a period of time, if left unattended, the LCD display, Power button light, and wifi light will all begin flashing. Once this happens, the only recourse is to power cycle the printer and restart the router. Once the router and printer have been restarted, it will connect to the router, and then disconnect after a few hours. The router is a Linksys EA8500. The printer disconnects regardless if it has a static ISP set or not. I have no issues with any of my other wifi-enabled devices, which range from a Sony Blu-Ray player/home theater system, Xbox One, and various cell phones and tablets.

@Kitulu

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's restore the network settings:

Go to Network Setup>

  • Restore Network Defaults

Once done, connect the Printer back to the Wi-Fi.

Let me know if this helps.

Assign manual IP to the printer-

The steps on how to set a manual IP address can be found here.

For the DNS servers please use 8.8.8.8 for the Manual Preferred DNS Server and 8.8.4.4 for the Alternate DNS server. These are Google’s public DNS servers

Assigning a manual IP address also did not help.
