HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer

Last week I had no issue printing a rotated page. Now suddenly the printer will not print the rotated page, even when landscape is chosen. It just prints the original rotation in portrait. The printer is not printing to match the print preview.

I understand your HP ENVY 6055e is not printing the rotated page correctly even though the print preview shows landscape rotation, here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:
 

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that the printer settings in the print dialog match the desired orientation. Sometimes the settings might revert to default or not be applied correctly.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the HP Support website to download and install the most recent drivers for your printer model.

Check Printer Software:

  • Open the HP Smart app or the printer's software on your computer. Look for any settings related to page orientation or layout and ensure they are set correctly for landscape printing.

Adjust Page Setup in Application:

  • Sometimes the issue can be with the application you are using to print. Check the page setup or print settings within the application to make sure landscape orientation is selected.

Try a Different Application:

  • Test printing the rotated page from a different application to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with a specific application.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • Perform a reset of the printer settings to ensure there are no saved settings causing conflicts. This can usually be done from the printer's menu or settings panel.

Check Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Sometimes firmware updates can resolve issues related to printing functions.

Perform a Printer Reset:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can help reset any temporary issues.
