HP ENVY 6452e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

If I set up a new connection, it is either Ethernet or broadband. Not both. And no option for wifi. The symbol doesn't even appear on my screen anymore.

@Suds141, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue.

To set up a new connection for your HP ENVY 6452e All-in-One Printer, you will need to follow the steps below.

Setting Up Wi-Fi Connection

Ensure Wi-Fi is enabled:

  • Confirm that your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly.
  • Make sure the Wi-Fi feature is enabled on your printer. If it has been accidentally turned off, you can usually find the option in the printer's control panel settings.

Connect Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button or go to the Wireless Settings.
  • Select the Setup Wizard from the options presented.
  • The printer will search for available wireless networks.
  • Select your Wi-Fi network from the list, and enter the password.

Update Printer Software and Drivers:

  • Sometimes missing symbols or connectivity issues can be due to outdated software. Visit the HP Customer Support website and make sure you have the latest drivers and printer software installed for your Windows 10 (64-bit) system.

If you are facing issues with your Wi-Fi connection and the symbol does not appear on your screen, please consider these instructions to resolve the issue.

Troubleshooting Wi-Fi Issues

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, computer, and router. Wait a few minutes and turn them back on. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Check Firewall Settings:

  • Firewall or security software may block the connection. Ensure the firewall or security software settings are not preventing the printer from connecting to your network.
