HP ENVY Inspire 7255e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The subject field is the error messsage I got when trying to print. I've had this printer a few years now and don't print much now. After purchasing it I set it up with automatic ink delivery. I,m 73 yrs old and my wife is 66. We decided to stop the automatic ink delivery but it looks like we didn't follow the correct procedures.  The credit card used was comprimised a month afterwards. So it appears this situatioon was inevitable. So now I'mlooking to correct the situation.

Hi @pgo_hnc,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It looks like your HP Envy Inspire 7200e is still linked to your HP Instant Ink account, and since the payment method was compromised and the subscription was not properly canceled, your printer is now locked with the "Unresolved Account Issue" error.

Check HP Instant Ink Account Status

  • Go to HP Instant Ink and sign in.
  • Look for any outstanding payments or account issues.
  • If there’s an unresolved payment, update your payment method to clear the issue.

Cancel Instant Ink Subscription (If Not Already Done)

  • If you no longer want Instant Ink, navigate to Account Settings > Cancel Subscription and follow the steps.

Replace HP Instant Ink Cartridges

  • If you were using HP Instant Ink cartridges, they will stop working once the subscription is canceled.
  • Replace them with regular HP ink cartridges (not Instant Ink ones), as the printer won’t function otherwise.

Restart & Reset Printer (If Needed)

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, then restart.
  • If the error persists, try restoring the printer to factory defaults:
    • On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Defaults.

Reconnect to Your HP Account (If Required)

  • If your printer still won’t print, you may need to remove and re-add it to your HP account.
  • Sign in at HP Smart and add the printer again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
