I am unable to print anything from my PC
- I have had no internet for nearly a month whilst transferring supplier - things were working beforehand....
- I look at drivers and there is a download Dec23 which I have attempted - HPEasyStart 16_3_6
_ I commence the set up, I log in, it sees my printer via IP address which is correct
_ It states searching for available software for for this product
_ I then get an internet connection error screen, is router working, is router in range, is router connected to internet (not using an ethernet cable)
- Router is fine, I am connected to the internet on my PC. I then consider is it asking if my printer is seeing these things...?
.. I check printer and signal is stating excellent
.. I have already changed it's IP setting from auto to manual and back to auto, where it picked up it's IP that I can ping for PC
Before I was looking for drivers, I tried
To Print - failed
Scan from printer to PC - failed
Scan using my already installed HP smart app to communicate with printer - success, saved etc
Ping printer IP - success
Check settings on PC settings, printer - advanced shows the correct IP address of the printer - cannot print using HP smart nor office app
I can print from my android phone, hmmm interesting
- I have set up my firewall to trust the naming convention of my printer
Can anyone think of anything else I can try?
TIA

Fixed it !!!!
With the help of support tool, printer doctor or something from hp home page I stumbled across it
Turned out I had 2 descriptives of the one printer in my printer set up, I'd only changed the i.p. address in advanced settings on one of them and not the other. Rookie mistake - but I'm working so I don't give one 🙂
I hope that this helps someone
- find the HP printer diagnostic tool on HP website, much more thorough than the diagnostics in HP Smart
