Recently purchased & set-up HP Envy Pro 6430 connected by internet/wifi to my PC. This was working fine for a couple of hours, then the printer suddenly went offline. Rebooted everything including WiFi router and it came back online. Since then has repeatedly & spontaneously gone offline again, requiring more re-boots. I have also gone through completely uninstalling and reinstalling the printer. This morning I printed documents from my PC OK, then scanned a couple of documents, which I saved to my PC, but when I tried to print them out, the printer was shown as being offline. I checked other MS Office apps and they all show the printer as offline. Despite that the HP Smart (!) app shows it to be online and I am still able to scan and save to my PC. When I try and print directly from the HP Smart app, it eventually gives a message that says the printer is offline, even though it remains online for scanning. So in summary, I am simultaneously offline for printing but online for scanning. Has anyone else come across this and found a solution?

Welcome to HP Support Community
I would like to help
I suggest you download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe
Run PSDR v5.0.2
Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.
Select the correct Printer and click on Next.
PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing
Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.
Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”
PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.
Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issue. If no issue found close PSDR.
Thank you
