HP ENVY Pro 6432 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a HP Envy Pro 6432.

It has been set up and working fine over wifi. I can print pages fine.

The printer IS enrolled in Instant ink.

However 90% of the time it loses the connection to the internet. I can send files to it to print but most of the time there is an orange information light meaning which prints a page that just tells me the printer is not connected to the internet.

When the printer is not connected to the internet it is not updating instant ink with my page count.

Everything else on my network whether wifi or wired connect to the internet fine.

How can I get it to remain connected to the internet?

Hi @Enigma42 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing connectivity issues with your HP Envy Pro 6432 printer. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

  • Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength: Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router and that the signal strength is strong enough for reliable connectivity. You may need to move the printer closer to the router or relocate the router to improve signal strength.
  • Restart Printer and Router: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off your printer and unplug the power cord from both your printer and your Wi-Fi router. Wait for a few minutes, then plug them back in and turn them on. Allow them to reconnect to the network.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually update the firmware through the printer's settings menu or by visiting the HP support website and downloading the latest firmware for your model. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check Network Settings: Verify that your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. You can usually check this in the printer's settings menu. If necessary, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network and enter the correct network password.
  • Reset Network Settings: If all else fails, you can try resetting the printer's network settings to default and then reconnecting it to your Wi-Fi network. This option is usually available in the printer's settings menu under "Network" or "Wireless Setup."

I hope this helps.
