I’m trying to reconnect my wifi printer to the hp app. WiFi light is blinking and I reset using the button on the back so the purple light is flashing but the printer is still not being detected when in search mode to add. I tried adding via IP address and says unable to connect device to printer. This was previously working on the same wifi, unsure what happened

Hi @Anaya0001,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Troubleshooting connectivity issues with your HP Envy Pro 6452 printer can involve several steps. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve the problem.
Restart the Printer and Router:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Turn off your Wi-Fi router and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 30 seconds.
- Plug in the router and wait for it to fully restart.
- Turn on the printer and allow it to boot up.
Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength:
- Ensure that your printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Weak Wi-Fi signals can cause connectivity issues. If possible, move the printer closer to the router.
Verify Wi-Fi Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, go to the wireless settings and make sure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- If you have changed your Wi-Fi password, update the printer's Wi-Fi settings accordingly.
Print a Network Configuration Page:
- Print a network configuration page from the printer to verify its IP address and connection status.
- Use this information to confirm that the printer is on the same network as your computer and other devices.
Reinstall the HP Smart App:
- Uninstall the HP Smart app from your device.
- Reinstall the app from the official app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store).
- Open the app and attempt to add the printer again.
Manually Connect Using IP Address:
- Find the printer's IP address from the network configuration page.
- Open the HP Smart app and choose the option to add a printer manually.
- Enter the IP address and follow the on-screen instructions.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Visit the official HP support website and check for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
- If updates are available, follow the instructions to update the printer firmware.
Check for Interference:
- Ensure there are no electronic devices or objects that may interfere with the Wi-Fi signal.
- Microwaves, cordless phones, and other electronic devices can sometimes cause interference.
Factory Reset:
- As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. Be aware that this will reset all settings.
- Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
