My wifi was down for about a month but has just been restored. During this time, I was able to direct print using my HP Envy Pro 6455 until it went on strike because with no internet it could not confirm my ink subscription. That was very frustrating. But now, I have wifi so life should be good, right?
Well, no. The printer would not connect to the wifi after it was restored. Every other device in the house is working, so my wifi is definitely good. Eventually, I tried resetting wifi on the HP printer so I could just set it up all over again. The information page that prints confirms that it no longer is connected to any wifi network.
Here's where I'm stuck. I hold the wifi button (little one on the back of the printer) down for 5 seconds, then power the printer off and on again. When it starts, it eventually gets to "purple" on the light but very instantly after that it switches to yellow (amber?) and the info button flashes at me. Since I'm not in purple setup mode, the HP Smart app on my iPhone cannot see the printer. When I press the Info button, the printed page tells me two things -- it can't confirm my ink subscription and the printer is not connected to a network. That's all.
Wondering if it has decided I must solve the ink problem before I'm allowed to solve the network problem. That would not be great, because it will never be able to confirm my ink subscription without a connection to the network.
How can I resolve this?
