Hello,
I have read countless other tickets, trying to fix this with no progress.
What is happening:
The HP Smart app on my desktop will not connect to my new 2.4ghz WIFI.
When I try to "add new printer" it will locate it, disconnect from my network, connect to the printer, and then endlessly loop at "sending network information."
The white information button is blinking, the red X is solid, and the purple light is flashing.
Additionally, I cannot connect with my android phone either.
- The printer, computer, and wireless router are on the same desk with no obstructions
- I have restarted or unplugged ALL 3 for 10 minutes
- I have uninstalled and reinstalled the HP Smart app
- The purple light is pulsing on the printer
- My internet is working
THIS IS SO ANNOYING. This printer just worked the day before, with my old ISP and a router that was on the other end of the house.
Pleas help!

Hi @JamesAhtokah,
Please print a Wireless Network Test Results page ND evaluate its results:
https://support.hp.com/ee-en/document/c06543173
Within the Current Configuration section of the report, can you see your Network Name (SSID) listed on the report, or does it display not set as its value?
Assuming your SSID is listed on the report, what exact information is listed at the top of the report? can you see any specific warning or attention there?
Shlomi

Under the current configuration heading the network name is "Not Set."
At the top of the report page it says "Attention Your HP printer is unable to connect to your wireless router."
It then lists a 3 step "solution" that is not novel to this situation.
