Hello @Abbyging, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Envy 6100e printer.

We appreciate the opportunity to assist you and are glad we could help work toward a resolution. We hope our support has been valuable.

To help bring your printer back online in the HP Instant Ink portal, ensure the device is powered on and steadily connected to your active Wi‑Fi network. Once connected, enable Web Services on the printer and then refresh or sync the status from your Instant Ink dashboard so the system can recognize the device properly and then try printing a test page to check and verify.

1. Confirm the Printer’s Network Connection

  • Make sure the printer is switched on and ready.
  • Observe the Wi‑Fi light—it should appear stable and solid, not blinking.
  • Ensure the printer is connected to the same wireless network as your computer or mobile device.
  • If needed, reconnect by navigating on the printer to:
Setup > Network > Wireless Setup Wizard and select your Wi‑Fi network.

2. Enable Web Services

For Instant Ink to function seamlessly, your printer must stay in touch with HP’s cloud services.

For touchscreen printers:

Tap the HP ePrint or Web Services icon, accept the terms, and follow the prompts.
If prompted, print the information page it may include a claim code.

3. Refresh the Instant Ink Dashboard

Once the connection feels stable:

  • Sign in to your HP Instant Ink account
  • On the dashboard, locate the Status section
  • Click the refresh (circular arrow) icon
  • Allow a few moments for the status to update from offline to active

4. Re-add the Printer in HP Smart (if needed)

If the connection still appears out of sync:

  • Open the HP Smart app
  • Click Add Printer (+ icon)
  • Follow the on-screen guidance to reconnect and complete setup

Take care and have an amazing day!
