Hello,
my HP LASERJET PRO M15w is out of warranty. I just got a new router and now I can’t connect to the new wifi network. The router is dual band, but comcast can’t give me routername2 and routername5 - just routername.
can someone please help me? I do not have a computer, just an iPad. The printer was fine until this new router.

@Smileee, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
I undersatnd you are not able to connect the printer to the new router.
According to the printer specifications, this model printer is compatible only with a 2.4GHz network. If your router has a single SSID, it will not connect.
- Make sure the printer and the Mac are connected to the same wireless network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
- This printer supports WPA/WPA2 encryption, check if the router is on the same encryption method. If using WEP or WPA-PSK+FT change it to WPA-PSK
You may use the WPS button to connect the printer.
Kindly follow the steps mentioned in this document - Connecting an HP Printer Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

FIXED!
Hello! I had the same issue with my M15w printer after I changed my WiFi's SSID (name) to a different name.
I learned that if your wifi has dual band or tri-band radio channels this will be an issue.
In my case, I have a tri-band router, and had to disable the 5GHz-1 and 5GHz-2 channels on the router and just leave the 2.4GHz radio channel on. Then connect to the this 2.4GHz Channel on your computer's WiFi, press WPS on the router, and try again. It immediately found my M15w printer.
This is because these type of things (IoT) like printer, Alexas, Washing machine, etc, mainly only use these low bandwidth longer range channel.
Hope this helps someone out there. Thank you!
