HP LaserJet 1022 Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

First post in here, treat me gently please.

I have an HP LaserJet 1022, which I've owned from new. I would like to use it via ethernet.

Firstly, can it be done?

If so, is it as simple as changing the formatter board over, or is there more to it?

I've already tried a used formatter for 1022n (CB407-60002), but the printer just initialises then nothing. I can't even print a test page or configuration page.

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Best regards,

Rockhopper

@rockhopper

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you want to connect the printer using ethernet, I am glad to assist you.

This printer does not support ethernet connectivity.

It is not possible to convert HP LaserJet 1022 to HP LaserJet 1022n printer.

Refer to this printer specifications for more information:- Click here

Keep me posted.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.

Thanks for your reply.
I wasn't sure it could be done, but had seen the odd  post online saying that people had done so by swapping out the formatter board to the one for the 1022n.
