I changed my internet password, and now my LaserJet will not connect. I have tried re starting all devices, and I have tried deleting my printer from the HP Smart app, but it didn't help. I followed the steps given in trouble shooting and with virtual assistant, but that didn't work either. anyone have any suggestions?

Hi @lisaD21,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP LaserJet M234sdw is having trouble reconnecting to the internet after a password change, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Reconnect to Wi-Fi Network
- On the printer’s control panel, go to the Wireless or Network menu. This is usually found under Setup or Settings.
- Choose Wireless Setup Wizard or a similar option to search for available networks.
- Find and select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter the new Wi-Fi password. Make sure it's entered correctly, paying attention to capitalization and special characters.
- Confirm the settings and wait for the printer to connect to the network. This might take a few moments.
2. Reset Network Settings
- On the control panel, go to Setup > Network > Restore Network Settings or a similar option.
- After resetting, restart the printer to complete the reset process.
- Follow the steps in Reconnect to Wi-Fi Network to reconnect using the new password.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- Go to the HP website and check for any available firmware updates for your printer model.:
- Follow the instructions provided on HP’s website to download and install any updates.
4. Use the HP Smart App
- Open the HP Smart app on your device. Go to Printers and select Add Printer.
- The app will guide you through the setup process. Follow the instructions to reconnect the printer to your network.
- Ensure the app recognizes your printer and that it shows as connected.
5. Check Network and Router Settings
- Make sure your router is functioning correctly and that other devices can connect to the internet.
- Restart your router to resolve any connectivity issues.
- Ensure that your router’s security settings (WPA/WPA2) are compatible with your printer.
6. Check Printer IP Address
- Print a network configuration page from the printer’s control panel to check the current IP address and connection status.
- If the printer has an IP address but is still not connecting, try accessing the printer’s web interface by entering the IP address into a web browser on your computer.
- Ensure that network settings are correct and adjust if needed.
7. Reset Printer
- If all else fails, you can perform a factory reset on the printer. Refer to the printer’s manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
- After resetting, go through the initial setup process to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
