Hi, my printer is not connected to Wifi anymore and the printer app on my Mac keeps saying it's offline. How do I reset/reconnect?

Thanks for your help!!

Hi,

Make sure there is no USB cable connected to your printer, also ensure your Mac is connected to your wireless network.

Next, restore the network settings as listed for Laserjet printers, then open HP Smart, click the plus sign and click Set UP on your printer to reconfigure its wireless connection.

You may find a step-by-step information listed below:

Hi, thanks for your response. I tried following the instructions, but it did not help.

I can't even find my printer in my system preference now. How do I register my printer with my computer so I can try to reestablish the wi-fi connection??

Hi still waiting for your response. Thanks

Hi,

First, make sure the printer is ready with a solid power light, press cancel to wake the printer from sleep.

Please follow the steps again to restore the network settings once again, then from your computer make sure you are connected to the wireless network and review the nearby wireless networks list - can you see a nearby network starting with HP-Setup for your printer? if not repeat the steps above and ensure the printer is ready with a solid power light and not with any blinking lights or errors as an example, only then open HP Smart, click the plus sign and follow the steps to connect the printer.

If you get into any troubles, please clarify if you can see an HP-Setup network for your printer or not, and confirm the printer is indeed ready and not in any error state.
