Hello, having an issue with my HP LaserJet cp1525nw printer and connecting it on the network. I’ve tried via Wi-Fi (wps) and it just reports “connection failed” after it tries to connect. I’ve tested WPS connectivity with another printer and it works without issue, highly doubt it is an issue with the router.
I then tried connecting via Ethernet (cat5) and no link detected (no light activity Ethernet port). Tried turning wireless off/on through the menu, rebooting, powering off, power draining, turning auto crossover on/off etc. Plugged in the Ethernet cable directly into a laptop and gets detected right away (so again, not a modem/router issue).
Unless there is an issue with the network card, is there any other menu option that might have network access administratively set off or something?
Please note, all manual suggestions have been followed. Hoping to find a more advanced suggestion that I can try, other than replacing the network card/board. I’ve also attached a config report.
Thanks.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? If yes, make sure the dual-band has different SSIDs for 2.4G and 5G networks?
- What's the Wi-Fi light status on the Printer(Blinking or Steady)?
- When was the last time it worked fine?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps: Restore factory-settings
- On the product control panel, press the OK button.
- Use the arrows buttons to select the Service menu, and then press the OK button.
- Use the arrows buttons to select the Restore defaults option, and then press the OK button. The product automatically restarts.
Next: try and re-connect to the network.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
