macOS 12.0 Monterey

Hi - I have a roughly 6 month old HP LaserJet M110we. I hadn't printed anything in a while, and I noticed my orange "exclamation point"  flashing.  I managed to print one  document, then  printed a diagnostic report that said my printer cartridge was very low.  I replaced it with a new cartridge that came at the beginning of my instant ink membership. I forgot to take one of the plastic things off the cartridge before installing it. The printer ran like it was printing but didn't print anything.  I realized my mistake and removed the cartridge, pulled the remaining orange tab, and reinstalled it.  Now I can't get anything to work.  I'm getting the flashing orange and the flashing Wifi light, and nothing will connect or print.  Help!  How do I reset this?  I've tried all kinds of things...unplugging everything and waiting, resetting my router,  etc. I tried to connect it via WPS and nothing worked.

I've had developments.  I left the computer off for a couple of days, then fired it up again this morning.  Again the wifi light and the exclamation light were flashing.  I put in paper and pushed the exclamation light and it spit out a piece of paper reading "A problem has occurred with your HP account and you will be unable to print very soon unless the issue is resolved. To  learn more, open  the HP app or visit www.hpsmart.com and sign in to your account. I opened the app and it shows my printer offline (though it isn't...the diagnostic sheet that printed says it's connected with an "excellent" signal strength) but it also shows that the dashboard info is from  June.  When I refresh it, nothing happens...it's still showing info from June.  I just added my printer to my HP account via serial number, and I don't see any error messages or other things that appear to be wrong with the account.

Hi @SueDisco,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help

Are you connecting the printer to a 2.4Ghz network or a 5Ghz network?

Is it a private (Home network) or a public Wi-Fi connection? Wi-Fi direct? Or Hotspot?
What device are you using the printer with a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or iPhone?

Have you done any changes to your router network or software?

Meanwhile, click the link here and update the firmware.

And try the following from this document and see how it goes.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
