HP Neverstop 1202nw
macOS 10.15 Catalina

This printer was setup on our wireless network and working fine. Clerk did something to it, and it lost its wifi config.

I now cannot get it readded to the network. I tried using the HP Smart software, but it keopt crashing. Then I tried to go into the webpage for the printer and add the SSID credentials, but it still would not accept them. Eventually it stated it can only connect to a 2.4ghz network and not 5ghz.

However, this printer was working efor over a year on our network with not problem and our network settings have not changed. We also have the same model of this printer up and running on the same network in a different location.

How can I force this printer to join our wireless network? I have attempted the methods listed in the manual, factory reset the device. Nothing works

Not only is this printer complete garbage, but so is HP support. No response here, cannot call tech support, and I cannot live chat with tech support because I do not have FB messenger.

Anyone reading this, do not buy the HP Neverstop 1202nw!! It's garbage

Completely Agree... Avoid this Printer!!!

I have an enormous paper weight now. It lost the network config and I can not get the printer to join again.

Support through the FB messages app was slow and then worse, a waste of time. No technical help at all. Wait time between responses is measured in hours not minutes. Last two replies have been un responded to.

Looking at switching back to Epson.

What an expensive lesson and a shame.
