I understand your HP OfficeJet 8015e is showing as asleep. Sleep mode itself is normal. HP printers automatically enter a lower-power state after a period of inactivity and should return to their normal power state when a print or scan job is sent. A dark control panel or a dim/slowly pulsing power light can also indicate Sleep mode.

To better understand what is happening with your printer, could you let us know:

1. Is the printer simply entering Sleep mode, or is it not waking up when you send a print or scan job?
2. When the printer is asleep, does touching the control panel or pressing the Power button wake it?
3. Is the printer connected through Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or USB?
4. Does the printer lose its Wi-Fi/network connection after entering Sleep mode?
5. Are you seeing Offline, Unavailable, Asleep, or another message in the HP app or on your computer?
6. What computer/mobile device and operating system are you printing from?

The document explains that Sleep mode does not turn the printer off, and the printer should automatically wake when another print job is sent. HP also advises that Sleep mode itself cannot be disabled, although the inactive time before Sleep mode may be adjustable on some printers.

If your concern is specifically that the HP OfficeJet 8015e loses its wireless connection while asleep, HP recommends checking for a printer firmware update.
