Hi Community,

I've had my HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 for several years and have had no wifi issues until today. Printer works fine with Ethernet cable.

 

The wifi cannot find any networks despite my phone and laptop finding 3 strong wifi networks. I've tried:

- Restarting the printer

- Restarting the wifi router

- Resetting the printer to factory defaults

- Manually entering the network details

 

I think the printer may have recently updated it's firmware. Printer details are:

Product Name HP OfficeJet Pro 8710
Product Number M9L66A
Firmware Version WBP2CN2042AR

 

Anyone else seen this or have any ideas?

I have a similar issue with my Printer.  Recently it started to say printer is offline within HP Smart.  I am able to print test pages after Diagnose and Fix issues were completed, but it still says it is offline on the home page.   I have gone through every support method including changing  ports, etc.  I tried factory reset on my printer as well.  HP Support assistant works for the printer.  Why will it not connect (even tried to set up new printer and no luck) through HP Smart given everything is on same Network?
