Common problems for Connectivity Issues

HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All-in-One Printer

As reported in other posts I am unable to access the wireless settings on a HP OfficeJet Pro 9010.  When I go into Network set up I get  a message that says I have to connect an ethernet cable and I am unable to access wireless settings.  Wireless is on as we can intermittently print to it.

I understand the solution is to perform a printer reset.
Could a HP employee please advise on how to do this.

Page 185 of this manual describes the "cold reset" of the printer.  page 184 show how to do just the network reset.

 

If you are intermittently printing to it either the Wi-Fi channel is congested or you have the printer in wi-fi direct mode.

 

If channel is congested log into the modem and run the app that finds the best channel.

 

If in direct mode then reset the network and connect the printer to the router.

Thanks for the reply.  I was under the impression there was another way to reset the printer besides the options you have listed in the manual.
I will try to reset the settings per your response and also check if there is a printer update available when I next have access to the printer in the New Year.  I will update with the outcome.
Reference printer issues it is over wireless network and not Wi-Fi Direct mode.  If resetting the printer doesn't resolve the issues I will check the router and see how the clients are setup.
