I have an 8030 series and a 9010 series printer that no longer work because Spectrum recently went to the 5 g wifi and I think my machines are 2.5g. What options do I have to get these things up and running?

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 series and 9010 series printers are having connectivity issues with the new 5 GHz WiFi network, there are a few steps you can take to address the problem:
- Check Printer Compatibility: Ensure that your printers (HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 and 9010 series) support 5 GHz WiFi networks. Most modern printers are dual-band and should be compatible with both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks. Refer to the printer's documentation or check the HP website for specifications.
- Update Printer Firmware: Make sure that your printers have the latest firmware installed. Manufacturers often release updates to address compatibility issues and improve overall performance. You can check for firmware updates on the HP support website or through the printer's control panel menu.
- WiFi Band Settings: Check your router settings to see if there is an option to enable both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands simultaneously (dual-band mode). This can usually be done in the router's web interface. If your printer only supports 2.4 GHz, enabling both bands may allow it to connect.
- Network Configuration: Ensure that your printer is configured to connect to the correct WiFi network. You may need to reconfigure the wireless settings on the printer to match the new 5 GHz network.
- WiFi Range: Check if the printer is within the range of the 5 GHz WiFi network. If the signal is weak, the printer may have difficulty connecting. Consider moving the printer closer to the router or using a WiFi range extender.
- Use a WiFi Bridge or Extender: If your printer supports only 2.4 GHz and your new network is 5 GHz, you can use a WiFi bridge or extender that operates on both bands. Connect the bridge or extender to the 5 GHz network and then connect your printer to the bridge or extender using its 2.4 GHz band.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
