Hello, yesterday during a print job we lost wifi connectivity on the printer and the wifi icon has disappeared. All of our devices at home are ok so I know this is a printer issue and not a wifi/router issue. The Ethernet connection icon appeared on the printer display with an orange ! Warning on it stating the Ethernet is not connected. The printer has never been attached via an Ethernet cable! I have turned off the power to the printer, restarted my router, put the printer back to a factory reset on the screen but nothing works . I saw in other posts that an HP technician sent the person a private message with a different kind of reset so I am hopeful that a technician responds to this . All the DIY troubleshooting available is not appropriate to my situation and isn’t working. Thank you

Thank you for the suggestions. I tried all of them but in the end a complete factory reset was required with the help of a technician on the phone. It then created another issue with connectivity with my Insta Ink account. All in all I was on the phone over 4 hours for 2 days but it is all resolved now.

Hi @Kelly486,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 printer has lost its Wi-Fi icon, there could be a few possible reasons for this issue. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the problem.
Restart the Printer: Power off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can fix minor glitches.
Check Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi network and that the Wi-Fi network is functioning properly.
Verify Wi-Fi Settings: Access the printer's settings or control panel to check if the Wi-Fi option is disabled. If it is disabled, enable it again.
Reset Network Settings: If the Wi-Fi settings seem to be correct, but the icon is still missing, you can try resetting the network settings on the printer. To do this, follow these steps:
a. Go to the printer's control panel.
b. Navigate to the "Setup" or "Network" menu.
c. Look for an option like "Restore Network Defaults" or "Reset Network Settings." Select this option to reset the printer's network settings to the default configuration.
Update Firmware: Outdated firmware can sometimes cause connectivity issues. Check the HP website for any available firmware updates for your printer model and follow the instructions to update it.
Reinstall Printer Software: If the problem persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer software on your computer. This can help establish a fresh connection between the printer and your network.
Perform a Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that this will reset all settings to their defaults, including network settings. To perform a factory reset, refer to your printer's user manual for specific instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
