I have a HP Officejet 8610 printer set up on 2- 2 year old laptops. I have a Windows 11 HP laptop and a Dell Windows 10 WORK laptop. In short it will only print from the Windows 10 laptop. From the Windows 11 laptop it only prints the internal test page with HP Print and Scan Doctor, and the Web Page test page. I have the most recent flash on the printer. My WiFi is one IP address but shows the availability of both 2G&5G. The names of each is unique, but the IP address on each. I do not have administrative rights on my work laptop so I installed it going through Windows ADD a Printer the driver shows the Microsoft IPP Class driver and shows the location to be a https:\\ location which points eventually to it's IP4 address. I have installed and uninstalled the printer multiple times on the Windows 11 HP laptop. It is currently using the HP 8610 driver, but I have had it installed with the MS IPP Class driver also. I have HP Smart on both laptops. The HP Smart, on the work laptop, only shows the HP 8610 printer listed in it. (I have 1 other printer associated with the Dell Laptop) I would like it to print on the HP Windows 11 laptop.

Hi @LindaG76,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I see that you are facing an issue with your printer that does not print from windows 11 PC.
A) Please follow the steps below to perform a power drain.
1) Take out the cartridges
2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.
3) Press and hold the power button down for 15 seconds and release the power button, wait for about 30 seconds.
4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.
5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.
Remove the cartridges > Unplug the power cord > Wait for 30 seconds > Plug the power cord back in > Insert the cartridges
B) Kindly refer to the steps on this link to update the printer firmware and check if the issue is resolved.
C) If the issue still persists, uninstall the printer software by following the steps from this link and restart the devices.
D) Install the printer software by clicking on the link again and let me know if that resolves the issue.
Note: Enable Bluetooth for an HP Smart app setup: Enable Bluetooth on your computer or mobile device so that HP Smart can detect the printer during the setup.
Please click “Accepted Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click the “Kudos/Thumbs Up" on the bottom right to say “Thanks” for helping!

I have updated the firmware a month ago. Is updating with the same firmware ok to do again? I know it is at least the firmware version update that allows 3rd party cartridges because I had to use some, and they now show that they also pass in the Print and Scan Dr.
