I've been using this HP 6970 printer since Oct 2019 without problems. I've also been using the Google manufactured Nest Wifi, with 3 nodes, providing a mesh system. All worked well, with stable connections, but recently (in the last month or so) the printer keeps dropping the connection. I get 'printer off-line' messages constantly, it connects/disconnects/reconnects all the time and never maintains connection. If pages print at all they abort half way, then repeat, then abort and so on. I'm wasting paper, ink and my time.
Running a Network test Results page while its disconnected tells me that 'More than One Access point/wireless router has been found that matches my SSID'. Well it would wouldn't it - it's a Mesh System... The point is though that is has been running for ages without issue, it wasn't a problem before and all my printing was lovely, crisp and perfect, but it suddenly doesn't want to work now. To be clear, I'm connecting using the wifi setup routine on the printer, (there is no WPS button on a Nest wifi), I've tried setting static IP for the printer in the Wifi app, but it makes no difference, and I've turned things on and off more often than I've changed my socks.
I can't download and run the printer doctor software without involving my work IT department, who are too busy to mess about with an issue on my home network.
DHCP range is 192.168.86.20 to 192.168.86.250
Router IP is [Personal Information Removed]
Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
Hat size 7 3/4 . Inside leg measurement is 32" ( you may not need the last two, but you never know ...)
So... how do I make it all work properly again now please?

3. Touch Restore Network Settings. A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored.
4. Touch Yes.
5. Print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.
Use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer control panel display to set up wireless communication.
1. From the printer control panel, touch or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the Dashboard, and then touch (Wireless).
2. Touch ( Settings ).
3. Touch Wireless Settings.

Hi.
Thanks for this. Things seem to be working.... For now.....
One thing though - your item 4 in the second set of instructions:
"4. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard or Wi-Fi Protected Setup."
You do recall I told you that the Google Nest Wifi DOESN'T have a WPS button don't you? This item renders the solution suddenly problematic, as it's obviously culled from somewhere else in the hope that it works. We're lucky - it did work this time, but the lack of attention to detail in a problem where the details had been spelled out is concerning...
It would give the punters more confidence if your answers weren't so obviously cut and paste, and lacking human intervention, thus ensuring they were relevant, accurate and maximally helpful. #feedback

....and Not solved...
It's got the same problem all over again and the fix didn't work.
All it do was waste paper and ink by printing out the configuration page and half completed pages of printing that cut off in the middle.
I need a proper fix please!
