Hey,

I am working with a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 printer. The fax on it is performing very slow. They used a adapter to allow both the phone and the fax plug into one outlet. I am wondering what could be causing this issue? Any suggestions? The cable or the spilter? They said that previously when they had the fax in a different room it was faster.  They got the ISP to come down and move the phone line to a different room. Any ideas?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Let's reset the fax settings: Go to the setup menu>fax menu>Advanced Fax Setup>Restore Defaults

Let me know if this helps.

I was able to resolve it by setting it to normal for quality over what was set before. Super fast now.
