HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8610. We recently upgraded our modem with Verizon and moved my laptop and printer to a different room. Now both my husband and I are unable to access our remotely (wirelessly). I am wondering if it is the modem, but even still, I cannot even find my printer when I search for it. I purchased an ethernet cable and tried doing that but still no luck, plus I cannot locate the WPS PIN number. I'm beyond frustrated at this point and ready to start completely over. Help HP Community.

Thank you for reading this.

Hi @terikay

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I understand you are facing a connectivity issue with your HP OfficeJet 8610 All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist you better:

  • I  would like to know if the blue light on the printer is solid?
  • How far is the printer from your Wi-Fi router?
  • Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? If yes, make sure the dual-band has different SSIDs for 2.4G and 5G networks

While you respond to that, we can try to restore the network back to defaults and connect the printer back on to your network:

Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on the printer:

Use the touchscreen to restore Wi-Fi setup mode.

  • On the printer control panel, touch the Setup icon or Wireless icon .
  • Select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings.
  • NOTE: Your control panel might look different than the following example, but the steps are the same.

Example of selecting Restore Network Settings on a touchscreen control panel

  • If a confirmation prompt displays, touch Yes.
  • Wait 60 seconds until the Wireless light blinks blue.
  • Within two hours, return to the app or software to find and add your printer and complete the setup.
  • After the default network settings are restored, touch the back arrow, touch Wireless Settings, and then touch Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • The printer searches for available networks.
  • Touch the name of your wireless network.
  • Type your network security password (WEP or WPA key), and then touch and the printer will connect to your home Wi-Fi.
  • The blue light will become solid.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
