Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

I have followed the process of updating my printer's software by temporarily taking the password off of my wifi, so the software is up to date, but when I key in the correct password for my wifi the printer reads "incorrect WPA passphrase."  I went in and restored the network defaults, entered the correct password again, and received the same error.  My Macbook doesn't have a USB port to connect to the printer and when I use the USB-C to USB adapter the printer still does not show up.
