Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have Windows 11 Home. Recently my HP Smart will not open. I did some digging and found the HP Print and Scan Doctor service is disabled. I set the start up to automatic and start the service. Then everything works.

After a reboot, the services is set to disabled and I have to go through the whole process again.

I have already followed may suggestions from this forum regarding uninstalling, reinstalling, removing drivers, firmware updates etc.

I even changed the start dword to 2 from 4 in this key 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HPPrintScanDoctorService]

 

Still starts disabled after every reboot.

 

I am at a loss at this point
