Hi @Gulfam1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP printer accepts print commands but does not print, and if paper gets stuck in the middle of the printer, there could be several potential issues causing the problem. Here’s a detailed troubleshooting guide to help you identify and fix the issue:
1. Check for Paper Jams
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source to ensure safety while troubleshooting.
- Open all access doors (e.g., paper tray, rear panel) and look for any jammed paper. Gently remove any stuck paper. Be careful not to tear the paper.
- Inspect the paper rollers for any debris or damage. Clean the rollers if they appear dirty.
- Remove the paper tray and check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the tray area.
2. Check Ink Levels and Cartridges
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink. Replace any empty or low cartridges.
- If your printer has a built-in printhead cleaning function, use it to clean the printhead. Refer to your printer’s manual for instructions.
3. Examine the Printhead and Ink Pads
- Remove the printhead (if applicable) and inspect it for any clogs or damage. Clean the printhead contacts and reinstall it properly.
- If you suspect an ink pad issue, check the printer’s manual or HP Support for guidance on inspecting or replacing the ink pads. Ink pads are typically responsible for absorbing excess ink and may need replacement if saturated.
4. Perform a Printer Self-Test
- Use the printer’s control panel to print a self-test page or diagnostic report. This can help identify if the issue is related to the printhead or other internal components
- Look for any error messages or warning lights on the printer’s display. Follow any instructions provided by the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
