Hi: A few weeks ago I posted a request for help in respect of my HP6555e Printer. I have a Surface 7th edition laptop, running Window 11. It was showing ready to print on the HP Smart App, it was showing as the default printer under system printers and scanners but it wouldn't print.
Three experts responded to my request- one of them Hawks Eye, and two others whose names I cannot remember. Unfortunately I got pre-occupied with a serious illness in one of my family members and was not able to respond to the two. Nor have I been able to find their communications to me. All three experts had good suggestions. One suggested re-booting my wi fi network and when I did that the problem was solved.
I would like to thank the experts. You know who you have helped- one of them was me. I am most appreciative that you
are giving your time and expertise to help people like me, and I apologize for not being able to respond to you sooner.

Thanks for getting back to us, this is Hawks_Eye
It’s great to hear that rebooting your Wi-Fi network resolved the issue with your printer!
Troubleshooting printer connectivity problems can be frustrating, but it’s always satisfying when a simple fix works. If you ever run into similar issues again, some other steps you might find helpful include:
- Reinstalling the HP Smart app to refresh communication between your devices.
- Checking for firmware updates using this HP documentation.
- Resetting the printer network settings and reconfiguring the connection from scratch.
Also, it’s very thoughtful of you to acknowledge the experts who helped you.
Hope everything is fine!! It’s understandable that personal emergencies take priority, and I’m sure they’d appreciate your appreciation.
If you ever need assistance again, I'm here to provide detailed, step-by-step guidance.
Glad to see everything's back to normal!
Regards.
