HP SD Pro 44"
Microsoft Windows 10 IOT

Recently, I was tasked with updating our HP SD Pro 44 inch scanner to Windows 10 from Windows 7. After tracking down the relevant part number and updating the OS the scanner can no longer connect to our network. We have checked various network configurations on our end but cannot see anything that would disallow the scanner from connecting to the network. The scanner was connected before the update.

Any help rendered is appreciated.

Can you clarify, did you updated the physical PC that comes as the display screen for this product? If so, unless you had an image that was specifically from HP then likely there are no compatible drivers in Windows 10 for this product. The Windows image that is installed is a custom image, you cannot simply use off the shelf Windows.

Curious, what was the reason for updating from 7 to 10?  I'm looking at one of those scanners and it too has the windows 7 OS.

I don't work for HP....I just repair their printers.

We used an official HP OS Upgrade kit on the control panel. Cannot recall the part number but it came on a USB stick that had HP logos on it.

It is a specific requirement that all Windows systems operating in our environment be operating on Windows 10 as per our Cyber Ops.

According to tech documents, users with units that shipped with Windows 7 need to use OS upgrade kit 5EK00-67017. If that is what you used and the install failed, you may need to reinstall or engage Designjet support. Keep in mind that there was a major update to the Windows 10 system for the scanner that should be applied as well, but Win 7users must apply the upgrade kit first.
