I keep getting asked to sign into the HP Smart Icon on my computer, and then it doesn't connect to the internet. Why do I have to keep signing in. Should this not just connect to my printer automatically and allow me to scan.
I have HP Officejet Pro 9012e all in one printer and Apple Mac OS Monterey
Many thanks for your help
Best wishes
Mandy

Hi @angelmebe
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that you are facing issues with scanning.
Do you have an HP Connected account? You will need that to sign into HP Smart and enjoy a host of benefits that a registered user enjoys.
Yes, you may have to sign in.
The application has always worked better when you are signed into your HP Connected / HP Smart account.
If the application now requires it, well, there you go.
HP makes decisions on all HP software and application management.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
