Hi

Using macOS Monterey 12.0.1 and cannot log onto the HP Smart App, it is stuck on Loading HP account.

 

I am now stuck without the ability to scan as I have to log into my account to do that (??)

 

Any help much appreciated - have uninstalled and reinstalled the app to no avail.

  1. How is the printer connected to the device USB or wireless?
  2. What device are you using the printer with, a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or an iPhone?

I have the same problem and I'm using a MacBook (OS Monterey is the latest operating system upgrade for mac desktop/macbook) and I'm connected wirelessly.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled the hp smart app but it still just hangs.  Please help - the whole reason I have this printer is to scan documents so I can send to the office as I work remotely. Printer is HP Envy6430e

Looks like it is an issue with HP Smart compatibility with Monterey. Until HP update HP Smart I think we are stuck.

Hello,

I received my new printer Office Jet Pro 9022e, two hours ago and I had the very same problem (stuck Loading HP account).
I was on mac OS 12.0.1 Monterey too.

Luckily,  a 12.1 version was released recently (on Dec 7th?), and it has solved my problem: I was able to sign in.

I hope this works for you too.

Came across HP Utility and HP Easy Scan - which is a separate app but built into HP Utility? - they seem to work on Mac with Monentery. Printer asked me download 'Utility' when I touched 'scan' on the printer - I had deleted HP Smart App at this time.

HP Easy Scan is on the app store if HP Utility is not an option that appears.
