Hi I cant add my printer to the Chromebook:

I can't use the wifi cause the printer doesn't see it ( university blocked wifi)

Im using a cable, and it's showing me to add your printer and then I can't add it cause it needs some ppd file.

I dont see this series on the device list neither.

Please review and help

The printer supports Wi-Fi Direct.

Wi-Fi Direct uses the wireless radio in your printer to connect directly to the Wireless on your device (computer, tablet, phone).  While Wi-Fi Direct is useless for connecting the printer to the Internet (and, for example, Instant Ink or Cloud services), when it can be used, the limited connection does eliminate the chance that the issue is related to an unavailable, weak, poorly located (perhaps too far away or even much too close), outdated, or incompletely configured, router.
