Microsoft Windows 11

Is the HP Smart App from Windows Microsoft store obsolete?  I used to enjoy this app and used it as recently as a few weeks ago, but after updating my system

(Windows 11 Pro) and reistalling the app , no matter what I do it cannot find the printer, or any printers for that matter.  Windows has no problem finding the printer and I have no problem printing. I have the color LaserJet printer MFP 281fdw on my local network. Should I just accept the fact that HP Smart app is no longer compatible with the latest version of Windows 11 and move on with my life?  It's a shame I used to like the app.

I am happy to report that I was finally able to add my printer in the HP Smart App.

Windows never had any problem finding or utilizing the printer, so it was odd that the app had so much difficulty finding it.

After uninstalling and reinstalling the app it still could not find any printers, but I was ultimately able to add it by providing the IP address. That did the trick. Thank you for your help.

P.S.  Although it does not seem to affect the functionality as the Windows drivers seem to work fine, for some reason the latest driver/software package from the HP website (Windows 11 / LaserJet 281fdw) fails to install. I forwarded an online report to HP, and it returned the message that "unfortunately there is no solution at this time".  This is a strange result for a driver/ software package that was released only a week or two ago. This is something that HP should look into.

Thanks again!
