I have a Wireless HP C4780 printer and an iPad Air 5th Generation on iPadOS 16.2. I downloaded the HP Smart app to print from my iPad to the printer. When I follow the prompts to Add my printer in the App, the App finds my printer on the network no problem but then it just sits saying "Processing..." with no action. I have restarted the iPad and the printer, I an uninstalled and installed the app and I have even left the app at this screen for an hour but nothing changes. Any ideas? Thank you.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
I found a review date for this printer dated 2010.
The printer is not listed as supported for HP Smart --
Vintage printer might be too old to use with HP Smart.
If it's not "too old", it might simply be one of those printers that are not supported.

Some places to recheck --
Check your router -- this printer only supports an older Wireless connection type: WiFi 802.11b/g
Make sure the router is broadcasting on the 2.4GHz frequency.
Most routers should be backward compatible but it's worth checking how your network is configured.
Switch ON your Bluetooth and location services on the iPad.
If you are using a VPN, switch off that service.
