I am using HP laptop with HP printer (OfficeJet Pro 9125e). There is a way, using the HP Smart app to add email addresses in order to share scanned documents. I can't recall how to do it. Does anyone know and willing to share the info?

Scan to Email
The "Scan to Email" Profile method involves the nice SMTP Digital Send ability of the printer.
Digital Sending Standard Features | Scan-to E-mail; Scan to network folder; scan to SharePoint; Scan to thumb drive |
Scan to Email works but can be weird to set up if you've not seen it before.
For that matter, EWS setup for Scan to Email is different on this new printer series from all previous OfficeJet Pro Printers that support SMTP.
Best start by reading the user manual >> HP OfficeJet Pro 9120e Series
What?
Scanning directly from the printer is different from scanning from any other source (computer, tablet, phone) and then sharing or sending the scanned content to one or more recipients.
Standard EWS
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Scan > Scan to Email > Settings / Scan to Email Setup
OR
This printer series
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
1) Section General > Email Servers
And, next
2) Section Scan > Scan to Email
Example - EWS - Scan to Email - Email Servers Profile setup and Scan Defaults

Scan - HP Smart - Windows - Share
Add your sender's email address to Windows Mail.
Reminder
At this writing --
HP Smart does not understand and does not yet support "New Outlook".
If you have "upgraded" your Windows Mail app to the New Outlook app, downgrade back to Windows Mail if you want to use this method.
General Example - HP Smart - Windows - Scan > Preset = Photo > Share
NOTE >> Scan to Document options are a little different work the process is similar

Scan - HP Smart - Shortcuts - Email
HP Smart can share / send scanned content to one or more email recipients.
Create or Edit a previously created shortcut.
Open HP Smart
Open Shortcuts
Create a Shortcut - give your shortcut an appropriate name
Select the type of Shortcut action > Email
Enter one or more recipients.
Select the rest of the options, including the file type.
When done, Save the new / edited shortcut
Reminder -
The recipients, the subject line, and the message CANNOT be edited on the fly, that is, create the shortcut like you expect to use it. The content changes with the current scan.
Example - HP Smart - (Windows) Shortcuts > Email
Note: Setup is similar for the different content file types.
