new broadband 100mega  difficulty setting up new wireless network but finally managed. can print from ipad but not from my imac. any ideas why? thank you. sam

update on this.i got message to download software update on printer and did this. thought my problem would be solved!! wrong  cannot print from computer (Mac) or ipad. paper in place 

went through setup again, wifi password and all,  and printer is online without flashing blue light and is identifed from ipad but does not print. printed the test page at the end of setup.

Mac says printer offline despite it being beside it and showing ip address. 

tried it as well with ethernet and other cable attached.

please help and thank you
