I am still able to print using a computer when I use HP direct wireless printing and connect my computer to the printers Wi-Fi. A day ago I was able to do the same thing with my phone. I have an iPhone and I use the printer as my Wi-Fi then go to print and select that as my printer. I think it’s something in the settings on my phone because I problems solved with another printer that I have at another location and it did the same thing. interestingly on my phone a thing called Prince center popped up and showed a list of documents waiting to be printed. I’m not really sure where it is, when I search for it, I can’t find it. I can only find it when I have a document waiting to print , really weird

Hi @Artzychick1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering issues with HP Direct Wireless Printing on your iPhone. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you resolve these issues and get your HP printer working properly with your iPhone again:
1. Verify Printer and iPhone Connectivity
Confirm Printer Status:
- Ensure that your HP printer is powered on and connected to its own Wi-Fi network (HP Direct).
Check iPhone Wi-Fi Settings:
- Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your iPhone. Make sure it is connected to the same HP Direct network as your printer.
2. Reconnect iPhone to Printer
Forget and Reconnect:
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
- Find your HP Direct network in the list, tap the i icon next to it, and select Forget This Network.
- Reconnect to the HP Direct network by selecting it again and entering the password if required.
Open Printer App:
- Open the HP Smart app (if you have it installed) or the app you use to print from your iPhone. Ensure the app is updated to the latest version.
3. Check Printer Settings
- Verify HP Direct Print Settings:
- On your HP printer, go to the Wireless or Network settings and ensure HP Direct is enabled. If needed, reconfigure the HP Direct settings.
4. Clear Print Queue
On Your iPhone:
- Open the Print Center:
- When a document is waiting to print, a notification should appear on your iPhone’s lock screen or notification center.
- Tap the notification to open Print Center. You can manage or cancel print jobs from here.
- If Print Center is not visible, try restarting your iPhone and check again.
Clear Print Jobs:
- Ensure there are no stuck or pending print jobs. Cancel any jobs that are waiting to be printed.
5. Update Software
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check the HP Support website for any firmware updates for your printer and apply them if available.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
