my envy 5052 print works great printing wirelessly but every time it goes into power saving mode, it wont print until I tap the screen to wake it up. when the display is black and sleep and I send a job to it, it does nothing, not a sound. Only when I tap the screen and resend the wireless job, it prints fine. Already checked for firmware updates, none available. What am I over looking? Been like this since buying it a couple years ago....

Hi @tjtarheels12 ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like there might be an issue with the power-saving settings or wireless connectivity on your HP ENVY 5052 printer. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Check Power Settings:
- On the printer, navigate to the settings or setup menu.
- Look for power-saving or sleep mode settings.
- Disable or adjust the power-saving settings to see if it resolves the issue.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Even if there are no updates available now, check periodically for firmware updates on the HP website. New updates may become available in the future.
Check Wireless Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the same wireless network as your Windows 11 computer.
- Reconfigure the wireless settings on the printer if needed.
Windows 11 Power Settings:
- Check your Windows 11 power settings to ensure that your computer is not going into a deep sleep mode that might interrupt the connection with the printer.
Printer Driver:
- Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed on your Windows 11 computer. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest driver if needed.
Printer Queue:
- Check the printer queue on your computer to make sure there are no pending print jobs. Clear any stuck print jobs and try printing again.
Reset Network Settings on Printer:
- In the printer settings, look for an option to reset network settings. Resetting the network settings might resolve any connectivity issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
