Hi,

After installing my printer at home and connecting to the internet everything worked. Now that i moved and tried to connect my printer with another wifi, The  hp "smart" app got stuck on preparing the printer for atleast half an hour. How can i solve this problem? I've tried everything that i was told to do but nothing works...

Greetings Anton

Hi Anton,

If you experience issues reconfiguring the printer using the HP Smart app, please try the below method as a workaround and let me know if that helps:

  1. On the back of the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds, till the front light bar glows purple.
  2. From your mobile device go to Wireless and connect to the listed HP-Setup-6000 network.
  3. Open a browser and browse to http://192.168.223.1
  4. Login the EWS page using the PIN Code listed within the cartridge access door, be sure to confirm any certificate prompt by clicking to Visit Page under Advanced.
  5. Click the Network tab.
  6. Under Wireless, select the Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the steps on screen to select your network name and provide its password, then apply the changes.
  7. Now connect your mobile device back to your home network and add the HP printer within HP Smart.

May that help connecting the printer to your current network?
