I have read the litany of fixes proposed in the community, all of which I have performed many times. It seems to me HP is only interest in selling this printer instead of fixing the communications issue. This printer is best used via USB, not wireless, which defeats the purpose of owning it!

Wireless communication issues with the HP Envy 6555e can be frustrating, but there are a few steps you can follow to improve connectivity. Here are detailed troubleshooting actions to potentially resolve these issues:
Basic Connectivity Checks:
- Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Check that your Wi-Fi network is functioning correctly and other devices can connect without issues.
Firmware and Driver Updates:
- Visit the HP Support website to check for any available firmware and driver updates for your HP Envy 6555e. Keeping software up to date can resolve many connectivity issues.
- Download and install any updates available.
Router Settings:
- Ensure your router is set to a 2.4 GHz band, as many printers do not support 5 GHz connections.
- Verify that the router’s firmware is up to date.
- If using a dual-band router, ensure the printer is connecting to the 2.4 GHz network.
Reinstallation of Printer:
- Uninstall your printer from your computer.
- Visit the HP support page and download the latest driver.
- Reinstall the printer with updated drivers to clear any existing issues.
HP Smart App:
- Use the HP Smart App to setup and manage your printer. It can assist in troubleshooting wireless connectivity issues more effectively.
- Download the HP Smart App for Windows 11.
Reset Network Settings on Printer:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings.
- Select Network Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings.
- Reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi network.
Hope this helps!
