Recently installed new modem, which resulted in new network. HP Envy 7900 will not cooperate. Have managed a few times to print from HP Smart App to it since upgrade, and Printer is definitely on the same network. But both computers (one running Ventura and the other running High Sierra) consistently show printer as offline. I’ve deleted printer and re-added it. Reset network settings directly from printer. I’m about to lose my mind….

Hi @Makismom,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that you are facing connectivity issues. I’d like to help!
Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.
I can completely understand how frustrating this must be, especially after trying so many steps and still facing issues. It’s tough when technology doesn’t cooperate, but we’ll work through this together!
Use the network or wireless settings on the printer touchscreen to connect it to your Wi-Fi network.
Connect the printer to the Wi-Fi network (printers with a touchscreen)
Use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the printer control panel to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- Place the printer near the network router.
- Make sure paper is loaded into the input tray, and then turn on the printer.
- From the Wireless
or Setup
menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings.
- Get the network name and password. Go to Find the wireless network password or PIN to connect an HP printer for more information.
- From the Setup, Network, or Wireless settings menu, select Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Select your network, and then enter the password.
- Note: If the Wireless Setup Wizard is not listed, select Wi-Fi Protected Setup or WPS, select Push Button, and then follow the steps to connect to the network.
Print a Wireless Network Test Report
Print a wireless report to find information about your printer network connection or to identify connection issues.
On the printer, open the Wireless, Network Settings, or Setup menu to locate and print the Wireless Network Test report.
Review the information on the report or follow any instructions provided to troubleshoot Wi-Fi connectivity problems.
Update the firmware. Click here
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
Please mark this post as “Accepted Solution” if the issue is resolved and if you feel this reply was helpful click “Yes”.
