HP DeskJet 4155e All-in-One Printer

I changed out my modem on my Wi-Fi and it lost the HP printer as an option.  I can’t change the password and don’t remember the one I used or the one I remember doesn’t work.

Hi @Wykle

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It looks like your HP DeskJet 4155e lost its Wi-Fi connection after switching to a new modem. This is common when network settings change.

Let’s go through some troubleshooting steps to reconnect your printer.

Steps to Reconnect HP DeskJet 4155e to Wi-Fi

1. Reset Network Settings on the Printer

  • Press and hold the Wireless button (📶) and the Cancel (X) button on the printer for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking.
  • This resets the printer’s network settings.

2. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Select Add Printer and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

3. Restart Your Router

  • Turn off your Wi-Fi router and wait 30 seconds.
  • Turn it back on and let it fully restart before reconnecting the printer.

4. Check Printer Settings

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Wireless Settings.
  • Select Wi-Fi Setup Wizard and choose your network.
  • Enter your Wi-Fi password carefully.

5. Update Printer Firmware
